Big Bike Parts® expands on the adjust-ability of its Smart Mount™ Backrests with a quick detachable design. The Smart Mount  backrest  is designed to incorporate the slide lock system. This allows the backrest mount to attach through the seat opening.  The two lock bolts easily secure the backrest to pivot forward or back depending on fitment. That allows the entire backrest pad and assembly to be removed.
